old guy (Christopher Lee)

in this i decided to try an experiment, well, sort of, i tried to reference draw the world renowned Sir Christopher Lee, well, sort of, i wanted to zoom into the features on his face as he did not have meany obvious "old man wrinkles" as one would expect, more suttle, yet meany. so during this assignment i decided to try and draw his face straight into Photoshop rather than sketch it out and then put it into Photoshop.

initially i tried to do a 3D model of an old mans head, however that was a colossal failier. so i desided to stay with 2D with this one.

this is the second to final piece, the eyes are too big but unfortunately they where also part of other scetches within the image making them extrimaly dificult to resize.

and so now the "Final Piece", im not exacly happy with this but then again this is my first attempt at reference drawing directly into Photoshop, i stayed to sympole colour rather then full out, mainly because i wanted to see the features with the wrincals, and it was difficult to preform an effective way of creating light, as i waited too much time experimenting with the 3D trying to mimic Christopher Lees face.

also the colour is rather off and its hard to define a good tone as the colour was painted behind the scetch rather than on top, this also meant that i had to stick to traditional colour rather than obtaining more forms of colour through grayscail.
